This Cookie Policy is in line with the nDSG and the EU ePrivacy Directive ("PECD"). In accordance with these regulations, we need to obtain your consent when using certain types of cookies. However, this only applies to cookies that are not strictly necessary for the operation of our Website, namely functional, performance, analytics, and advertising cookies.
ii) What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small file that is stored on your computer, smartphone, or another device's hard drive. This file allows us to recognize your device/IP address and reuse information about the pages you have already visited or the features you have used.
We use both our own cookies and third-party cookies. Third-party cookies are used by external partners, such as partners providing content for our websites, suppliers responsible for various website features, or programs we use for our analytics and marketing. Through these third-party cookies, these external partners may collect data, such as your IP address and information about your browsing behavior.
iii) What Are Cookies Used For?
We use cookies to track you and your behavior on our website, social media platforms, and third-party websites so we can provide you with a better user experience on our website and remember your choices when using the website, such as your country selection. We also use cookies to continuously improve the content and features of our websites. Additionally, we use cookies to tailor our marketing to your interests and to generate statistics about the usage of our websites.
Overall, cookies can be divided into the following four categories:

The storage logs of our web servers may record domain names, internet protocol addresses, web browser types, and certain data from visitors to the websites.

Data we collect directly a) Contacting us
The processing of personal data depends on the type of contact. In addition to your name and email address, IP address, or phone number, we usually collect the context of your message, which may contain certain personal data. The personal data collected when contacting us are used to process your inquiry, with the legal basis being your consent.
We are present on social media (currently Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) based on our legitimate interest. If you contact us via social media platforms or engage with us, we and the respective social media platform are jointly responsible for processing your data and conclude a so-called joint-controller agreement. The legal basis is our legitimate interest, your consent, or, in some cases, the initiation of a contractual performance, if any.
For chat, we use Tidio Life Chat by Tidio LLC. Tidio Life Chat uses cookies to personalize your online experience. We have no knowledge of the storage duration at Tidio LLC and no way to influence it.
b) Order processing
To process the contractual relationship between you and us, we process your first name, last name, email address, delivery and billing address, if different, and the data relating to your contract with us. It is also possible that you register for an account. For this purpose, you can choose a password along with your email address, which allows you to log in more easily without having to enter your data again for a future purchase. We store the data you enter to set up a customer account, through which your orders are recorded, executed, and processed. We store your data for further orders as long as you have your account with us. The legal basis for data processing is our contract and fulfillment of our legal obligations.
c) Payment data
When you make a purchase, your payment is processed through our payment service provider Shopify International Limited (ShopPay) and the associated payment methods. The payment data is processed exclusively through Shopify, and we have no access to the payment data you transmit. The legal basis for providing a payment system is the conclusion and performance of the user contract for the service's use.
d) Newsletter

You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter or to create personalized user profiles at any time with effect for the future. The unsubscribe link can be found at the end of each newsletter. Revocation will result in the deletion of the collected user data. Our newsletter is sent as part of the processing on our behalf by Klaviyo, Inc.
e) Marketing
If you have given us your separate consent to process your data for marketing and advertising purposes, we are entitled to contact you for these purposes via the communication channels to which you have given your consent.
You can grant us your consent in various ways, e.g., by ticking a box on a form where we ask for permission to send you marketing information, or sometimes your consent is implied from your interactions or contractual relationship with us. If your consent is given implicitly, it is based on the reasonable expectation of receiving a marketing communication due to your interactions or contractual relationship with us.
Direct marketing usually occurs via email but may also include other, less traditional or new channels. These forms of contact are managed by us or by our appointed service providers. Any direct marketing sent or conducted by us or on our behalf includes a way for you to unsubscribe or opt-out.
Principles of personal data processing
a) Storage and retention
At the time of data collection, e.g., as part of a contractual relationship, we process and store your personal data. We process and store your Personal Data only for the purpose of the respective processing or as long as a legal retention period exists. Once the purpose is fulfilled or the retention period has expired, the relevant data is routinely deleted.
b) Security
Our website uses SSL or TLS encryption to ensure the security of data processing and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders, login details, or contact requests that you send to us. In addition, we have taken numerous security measures ("technical and organizational measures"), such as encryption or "Need to know" access, to ensure as comprehensive protection as possible for the personal data processed via this website.
Nevertheless, internet-based data transmissions can always have security gaps, so absolute protection is not guaranteed. And databases or records that contain personal data can be breached accidentally or through unlawful intrusion. Once we become aware of a data protection breach, we will notify all affected individuals whose personal data may have been compromised as quickly as possible after the breach is discovered.
c) Special category data

Automated decision-making is a process where a decision is made by automated means without human involvement. Automated decision-making, including profiling, does not occur.
f) No sale
We do not sell your personal data.
g) Sharing and disclosure
We do not share your personal data with third parties unless i) it is necessary for the provision of our services, including shipping, and ii) you have consented to the sharing, iii) or we are legally required to do so, e.g., by a court order or if it is necessary to support criminal or legal investigations or other legal inquiries or proceedings at home or abroad or to fulfill our legitimate interests.
h) International transfer
We may share your personal data with other companies and/or employees if necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
